Team PNWLH: Walking 60 miles in 3 days to support breast cancer research!

Are you ready for a challenge? Then this is right up your alley!

PNW Leisure Hiking Assistant Organizer Leesa has formed Team PNWLH to walk in the Seattle Susan G. Koman 3-Day Walk for the Cure – September 14th through the 16th. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only challenge yourself, but also to raise money for a very worthy cause! It’s a three-day, 60-mile journey to discover a sense of spirit and hope that’s nothing short of amazing. As a team, we will train, fundraise and participate together. It’s the greatest distance we can go in the fight against breast cancer. Let’s do it together.

The trek consists of approximately 20 miles a day for 3 days. This sounds like a lot, but in reality the way the event is run it is very supportive with rest stations, shuttle vehicles, medical personnel, and thousands of people just like you for support along the way! Housing, food, and just about everything else you would need is provided – not to mention a party every night in camp!

Don't want to walk but want to support our team (as well as help fight breast cancer)? You can make a donation to the individuals who are participating, as each walker has to raise $2300 dollars. All the details of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for the Cure can be reviewed here:
