This section is dedicated to all of those wonderful mothers, fathers, and caregivers who take the time, energy, and patience to instill a love of the outdoors.
Hiking with your children will force you to be flexible and alter your sense of accomplishment. For many children, it's the journey that's important, not how long the journey is. Children don’t care about mileage or elevation gain.
Kids are slower and closer to the ground, and by taking the time to look at the world from their perspective we learn lessons for ourselves. Get down to your child’s level. Check out the spider webs and crawling bugs and mushrooms and flowers. Stop to enjoy tossing pebbles into a stream (carefully of course). There is a real joy to rediscovering nature from a child’s point of view, and maybe you can instill the magic that comes with a love of the outdoors into your child’s life.
Now, choose a more specific category to the left to continue with your journey.
